We are currently seeking an experienced Country Sustainability & Quality Manager to lead our HSEE and quality strategy across our Swedish businesses and support the organization in achieving targets within health and safety, environment and quality through efficient processes and a fit-for-purpose integrated management system.
The ideal candidate will act as the face of ABB Sweden for both internal and external stakeholders in the sustainability and quality area. As part of the country management leadership team, this role will report to the Country Holding Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our businesses in implementing, and continuously improving our sustainability and quality programs, policies, and initiatives, ensuring compliance with both ABB and legal requirements. In addition, they will lead a team of experts and have indirect reports in the health, environment and quality area.

Your role and responsibilities
You will represent ABB Sweden externally as a spokesperson in the areas of sustainability, health, safety, environment, energy (HSEE), and quality engaging with customers, authorities, and other key stakeholders. Internally, you will coordinate the country management system for quality, health, safety, environment, and energy, ensuring that fiduciary HSEE responsibilities are handled with integrity and precision. Collaboration will be central to your role, as you work closely with other functions and business partners to drive performance and alignment. As a manager, you will lead a small team of experts and oversee indirect reports within the health and environment domain. You will actively engage both external stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, and academia and internal teams to communicate ABB’s efforts and progress in sustainability, health, quality, and environmental performance. Additionally, you will conduct trainings and deliver presentations to raise awareness and foster commitment to ABB’s sustainability and quality initiatives.
Qualifications for the role
- A master’s or bachelor’s degree in relevant area of education.
- Experience in Swedish and EU sustainability legislation and its practical implementation is preferred.
- A strong communicator with the ability to guide the business in a clear and understandable way in your areas of expertise, as well as presenting for larger groups (external and internal).
- Experienced in being a representative of a company within the HSEE and quality area.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Strong integrity and a will to do what is right for the environment and the business.
- Fluency in Swedish and English.
