About the role: Deedster is on the lookout for a skilled and motivated back-end developer to join their mobile app team. Based in central Stockholm, Deedster operates with a hybrid model, combining flexibility with in-person collaboration around shared goals. As the main back-end developer, you’ll sit at the heart of their product development – collaborating closely with front-end developers, content creators, data analysts, and customer success managers. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and developing scalable systems that help individuals and organizations lower their carbon footprint.
Your future responsibilities: You’ll work hands-on with both the internal tools and customer-facing services, contributing to meaningful tech with real-world environmental impact. Among your tasks:
- Develop and maintain API endpoints for the mobile application
- Manage and improve the internal GUI used for content and user administration
- Oversee the data infrastructure in collaboration with the data team
Who we’re looking for: Deedster values curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn above all. However, to succeed in the role, you should also have solid experience in:
- Back-end development using one or more programming languages
- Git or similar version control tools
- Implementing unit tests and automated testing workflows
Additional experience that would be valuable, but not required:
- Google Cloud Platform or other cloud infrastructure
- Google Firebase authentication and related services
- Cybersecurity and secure application development
- Database architecture and management
- Clojure
Whether you're an experienced engineer or on your way to becoming one, a passion for climate-tech and collaboration across disciplines is essential.
Other information:
- Start: According to agreement.
- Location: Stockholm city centre, with hybrid flexibility (3 office days/week).
- Scope: Full-time, with flexible working arrangements.
