Construction Manager – Brownfield Industrial Project

Key Responsibilities:

During Study Phases:

• Review plot plans, layouts, and equipment arrangements.
• Provide input on site preparation, constructability, and modularization strategies.
• Participate in 3D model reviews, develop construction strategies, and define commissioning plans.
• Contribute to cost estimates and HSE strategy development.

During Detailed Engineering:

• Lead HSE compliance, construction planning, and project strategy.
• Prepare Construction Execution and HSE Plans.
• Mobilize construction teams and review subcontractor bids.
• Support the Mechanical Completion (MC) system and coordinate tie-in packages.

During Execution:

• Oversee HSE compliance, constructability, quality control, and cost management.
• Manage material logistics, progress reporting, and subcontractor performance.
• Lead inspections, address NCRs, and handle project closeout.
• Promote a strong safety culture and conduct risk assessments.

General Duties:

• Ensure engineering and contractor scope and schedule are met.
• Coordinate with project teams on safety, progress, and subcontractor performance.
• Review and challenge schedules, RFQs, and purchase orders.
• Support pre-commissioning and ensure smooth handovers.

HSE Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and conduct hazard studies.
• Promote safety culture and enforce Life-Saving Rules.

Authority & Decision-Making:

• Approve staffing, extra work, and stop construction activities if risks arise.
• Represent the Project Director in all construction-related matters.
• This role involves managing all aspects of construction from planning to execution, ensuring HSE compliance, quality assurance, and the timely completion of projects.
