Did you recently graduated and want to work within the energy sector? We are now looking for a junior Plant Design Engineer to our client located in Västerås. By starting your career with a talent program you will get the ultimate transition between studies and working life. 

As a junior plant design engineer, you will be part of a project team working with the mechanical design of industrial plants. In this role, you will support the planning and coordination of technical tasks related to plant layout and component design, while learning to apply relevant standards and specifications. You’ll work hands-on with both 2D and 3D modeling in modern CAD tools and contribute to a variety of design tasks, such as layout of equipment, basic civil and structural elements, cable trench and conduit routing, and grounding and lightning protection solutions. You’ll also assist in creating detailed drawings and documentation used throughout the project. Collaboration is central in this role, and you’ll work closely with engineers from system, electrical and civil disciplines to develop integrated and practical design solutions. This position offers a great opportunity to build experience in industrial plant design while learning from experienced colleagues in a supportive and multidisciplinary environment

Desired qualifications:

• Are at the start of your career and have a relevant degree
• Basic understanding of mechanical or industrial plant design principles
• Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD tools
• Interest in technical drawing, structural layout, and infrastructure-related design
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional engineering teams
• Structured, curious, and eager to learn from experienced colleagues
• Comfortable working in English (spoken and written), Swedish is a plus
