The Key Account Manager, will take full ownership of a portfolio of high-value merchants. The goal will be to drive revenue growth, strengthen partnerships, and ensure best-in-class service delivery. The KAM will act as a strategic advisor, helping merchants leverage Avardas payment solutions to achieve their business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic merchant accounts across multiple markets.
  • Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day operational and strategic matters.
  • Drive account growth through upselling, cross-selling, and collaborative business planning.
  • Analyze account performance (conversion rates, payment method usage, etc.) and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate internal teams (Product, Risk, Support) to ensure merchants receive seamless service.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and present account insights and KPIs.
  • Monitor market and merchant trends to identify opportunities for innovation or product enhancement.
  • Handle contract renewals and support negotiation processes.

Qualifications and previous experience:
  • Excellent sales, communication, presentation and relationship skills.
  • Comfortable working with data and KPIs to drive insights and decisions.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a high level of ownership.
  • Proven track record of driving account growth, improving retention, and exceeding commercial targets.
  • Solid understanding of payment flows, checkout optimization, and digital commerce.
  • Excellent sales, communication, presentation and relationship skills.
  • Great knowledge of payments and within e-commerce is a plus.
  • Excellent in communication and collaboration with external and internal stakeholders. 
  • Excellent in Swedish and English.
